We are currently seeking an Associate Sourcing Manager to join Stryker's Instruments division based in Portage, Michigan.

What you will doAs an Associate Sourcing Manager, you lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing in suppliers and/or commodities with the goal of obtaining the best quality, service and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation and supplier management.
You're responsible for coordinating sourcing needs for new product development projects including completion of supplier selection with agreement to Global Sourcing Strategy, regularly reporting material costs, managing schedules and defining final material logistics.
You act as the liaison for all sourcing activities to both design and advanced operations teams.
Responsibilities may include Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Sourcing and purchasing controls requirements related to design projects Leverage improvements to project timelines from experience w/ key suppliers and project teams Preliminary influence on key project team members to inspire quicker overall deliverables for projects Negotiate supplier cost reductions and NRE reductions in conjunction w/ commodities teams when cost increases experienced Drives key efficiencies w/ suppliers and communication tools support faster & more product launches Identify process improvements to either supplier or Stryker processes to drive better speed to market, quality and long term delivery May support more projects or projects that expand across multiple business units Builds engaging relationship with variety of R&D engineering teams Builds relationships within Operations by becoming a value-added and sought after resource Builds relationships across Global Sourcing Group Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans for new products.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; Preferably in engineering, business, operations, supply chain management or related focus Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 4 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supplier development Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) International sourcing and supplier management experience Project management experience and solid understanding of project management tools Manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, buying, production planning or new product development experience Medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly-regulated industry experience Working knowledge of ISO13485 standards and requirements Audit experience in quality systems standards:
