People who can interpret information clearly and accurately to concisely communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders, senior management, and their teams.What You Will DoThe Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights will be responsible for supporting analytics of the ENT and IVS business units at the Instruments division. They will work with the Manager, Analytics & Insights to create holistic insights and recommendations. They will work with multiple levels of the organization with varying degrees of data competency and adoption. It is imperative they can clearly translate data into digestible reports and dashboards to engage clients and strategically drive actionable insights and recommendations. They will support competency growth and organizational adoption by producing impactful results at a functional level.Responsibilities include understanding business needs, translating requests into technical requirements, iteratively designing and developing clear documents and reports, managing workload and the prioritization of projects on behalf of self, and monitoring usage of the various analytics tools to gage overall value and identify opportunities. They will create holistic insights and recommendations for their assigned business units. They will partner with the Commercial Analytics Data Engineering team to develop complex data models and statistical calculations using Stryker's intricate data ecosystem. Scalable reporting solutions must enable end users to drill into multiple levels of detail regarding product performance.They must possess an understanding of measurement standardization and insight generation, use of business intelligence tools, such as SQL and Power BI, and project management acumen. This role requires a highly engaged, organized, initiative-taker with strong analytic and technical skills coupled with a highly consultative personality. They must demonstrate the ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy, and initiative. Drive increased data literacy and adoption of data-driven insights Translate stakeholder requirements to potential data analytics solutions with some guidance Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to identify, support, and create scalable solutions Simplify complex information to effectively present content across various levels of the business Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements Build and deliver presentations and communications that explain critical functions and findings to stakeholders with some guidance Collaborate to develop and deliver training and consultations on how to use data and insights to drive decisions Investigate reporting issues from supported business unit(s) and provide technical expertise to resolve and follow-up in a timely manner Monitor use of reports to gage value and increase use across supported function Work efficiently with large data sets from complex processes to derive insights Create/modify custom Structured Query Language (SQL) for data queries Perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities to ensure the data integrity of new/existing reporting Support quality control processes for all reports and dashboards Demonstrate financial acumen to develop financial impacts for existing projects and evaluating new opportunities What You Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar technical degree preferred 2
years of work experience required Master's or higher degree in a related discipline preferred Proficient in programming languages and data structures Proficient in data transformation and cleansing and relational database and data modeling concepts Proficient in data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc. Proficient in business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and languages (e.g., DAX, M) Proven thought-leadership in effectively interpreting and communicating analytical content $85,500- $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible
