### Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Midwest, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Chemist to support our Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Finished Product Testing group in Portage, MI.
### _Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following_:
###
Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, liquids, creams, and gels) and animal health products
###
Prepare standards and samples for analysis
###
Run the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, HPLC, and dissolution apparatus
###
Execute method transfer protocols
###
Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment
###
Work efficiently, document work clearly, and perform tests accurately
###
Ensure that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations
### _The ideal candidate would possess_:

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
###
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
###
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
###
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
### _Basic Minimum Qualifications_:
###
Bachelor''s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
###
At least one year laboratory experience
###
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
### Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Portage, Michigan are encouraged to apply.
