Description
NP/PA position immediately available in a functional medicine, nutrition, and chiropractic wellness facility located in Portage, MI. This NP/PA will provide professional medical direction, oversight and direct patient care for the facility. Competitive Salary. No nights, no on-call and no weekends. This position is full time.
The NP/PA needs to:
Be licensed to practice in the state of MI
Present their record of practice (i.e. insurance history or clams of malpractice)
Be open minded to holistic and alternative medicine, rehab and non-drug therapies
Present Medicare #(UPIN) or information needed to acquire
Desirable (but not necessary):
Working knowledge of Chiropractic Services, Physical Therapy or Exercise Rehab
Ability to do Trigger Point injections (IM not sub-Q or IV)
Ability to do SI Joint injections
Ability to do Suparts injections
Familiarity with reading and reviewing the following
Nerve Conduction Velocities (NVC)
Somato-Sensory Evoked Potential (SSEP)
Needle EMG
Vascular Studies
Computerized ROM and Muscle Testing studies
Spirometry
Familiarity with Nutrition
Role of the MD/NP/PA in the Integrated Setting:
The MD/NP/PA is the portal of entry for all patients and all services. They are responsible for providing a variety of professional medical services including administering physical examinations, ordering films, reviewing diagnostic tests, and performing injections, if medically necessary.
Participate in treatment team meetings where individual health plans are devised and reviewed with input from allied professionals (i.e. DC, LMT, athletic trainers, RN, etc.). The MD/NP/PA is to write the order for the patient treatment. This plan should be the most efficacious, within 3rd party compliance guidelines, while utilizing the service centers available to the patient in the clinic.
